Male Mesh Outlet a review in Second Life

Finding decent clothes for guys in SL can be a bit hard. It seems most guys in second life are content to wear the same tshirt and jeans combo they have worn for weeks, its like "yeah that will do" without thinking to ever change it up a bit so designers in SL for guys know that and dont make as many items for guys as they do girls hence the shortage of good quality mesh for guys in SL. Call us lazy but we just seem to end up that way.
Well heres where that can change. There is a store called Male Mesh Outlet that has some good quality stuff for guys so lets take a look

One of the problems with guys in Second Life is we just dont seem to be that bothered as much as girls are about how our avie looks. This probably comes from playing games like call of duty where your avie just wears the same uniform all the time and you dont get chance to change it or maybe we just wear the same stuff in RL so this just carries over to our SL too? Either way it makes a lack of designers in SL for guys so i was pleased to find this store with some nice quality items in it for guys.

We all know how good a snappy suit looks right? I mean you go to a wedding or a top class venue like Franks Jazz (which was blogged about in an earlier post on this very blog) you want to look the part. You cant just roll up in jeans and a tshirt or you wont get in. I like the variation on colours here and not just the usual black suit, white shirt brigade that you find everywhere. They have taken the time to make different colours so you can stand out from the crowd.

Underwear and robes, now thats a thing you dont see too much of in SL probably because you dont find a guy much in SL lounging about in their house much, you find robes and underwear for females but what about the guy who just wants to chill out at home and watch some tv or hang out with their partner? You dont want to always be dressed up then and this store has you covered.

Yes it does have a large selection of casual outfits too which are good quality and are varied, not just the usual ones which can help you make an entrance if you are just hanging out or going clubbing. Its good that they have taken the time to also include a proper alpha layer for their clothes, i know some male designers seem to not bother as much about this and you wear something and either the alpha shows or your skin shows through because the alpha isnt right. You wont get that here as they provide excellent alpha layers.

In a joining room there is a sumo wrestling game where you can play with a hud you can get from here and try to push your opponent out of the ring which was a novel idea for a clothing store.

I like the fact the store is easily laid out and everything is within eye level and easy to navigate. The items on sale are of really good quality and i like the range of colours on the clothes too. It makes a change to see designers making good quality colourful clothes for guys thats why i think we should support this store to hopefully help the owner create more quality mesh for guys in SL
